DFGA Reunion Weekend 2026 – Outline Schedule

Attending the DFGA Reunion Weekend 2026 is a valuable chance to reconnect with old shipmates, strengthen current friendships, and welcome new members into the association’s community. The mix of golf, social events, and the AGM offers something for everyone, whether you enjoy friendly competition on the course, a relaxed catch‑up over a drink, or helping to shape the future direction of the association. Being there in person ensures your voice is heard on key decisions, honours the shared history and traditions of Field Gun, and helps keep the association vibrant and active for the next generation. Most importantly, it is a rare opportunity to revisit the camaraderie, humour, and sense of belonging that only comes from time spent with people who share the our unique experience.

Friday 3rd July 2026
The weekend begins with the Classic Golf Day at the China Fleet Club, Saltash, Cornwall. Participants are requested to muster by 0915, with tee times and the competition running through the day, followed by a prize-giving ceremony scheduled to take place between 1600 and close of play. Dress requirements (rig) for the golf event will be confirmed nearer the time and circulated to all attendees.

Friday evening will feature an informal meet and pub get-together at the Keyham Vaults, offering a relaxed opportunity for shipmates and friends to reconnect, share stories, and set the tone for the rest of the reunion.

 

Saturday 4th July 2026
The Association’s Annual General Meeting will be held at 1100 in the Field Gun Lounge, where members will receive updates, discuss association business, and plan future activities. On completion of the AGM there will be a social function at a venue to be confirmed, providing further time to catch up, reminisce, and enjoy the company of fellow members and supporters.
